Some Cootamundra teams are certain starters while others will rely on this weekend’s results to secure their place in the semis.
The under 10s boys currently sit third on the ladder on 19 points.
Harden/Boorowa is first on 22, followed by Junee on 20 points.
If Cootamundra is able to defeat Temora and Kangaroos Blue defeat Junee, Cootamundra will jump into second place.
Either way, they are assured of a place in the semis.
The under 11s boys will finish third behind Young, unbeaten on top, and Temora.
Cootamundra will take on Temora this weekend with the game between Turvey Park and the Kangaroos this Saturday to determine who Cootamundra plays in the elimination final.
The under 12s and under 13s boys will unfortunately miss out on finals this year and the club did not field an under 14s team.
The under 15s boys will finish second behind the undefeated Young side and play them in the first week of finals.
A win in that game will see Cootamundra granted direct passage into the grand final.
Young has been unbeaten since competitive age, however Cootamundra came close two weeks ago going down 16-10.
Albury and Gundagai make up the top four.
In the under 12s leaguetag, Cootamundra sits equal third with Temora.
The winner of Saturday’s game will qualify for finals football as Turvey Park is only one point behind in fifth and have what appears an easier game. If they win they will book the last spot in the semi finals.
Cootamundra’s under 14s leaguetag side sits equal fourth on 12 points with Turvey Park, however Turvey Park is drawn to play the top of the table Roos. If Cootamundra wins they will feature come August 13.
The under 16s leaguetag will miss out on a finals start.
