Saturday’s wash out match did not surprise most with the inclement over the past few days. The forecast for Saturday in Canberra was not too flash 10 degrees with 30km/h winds with sleety rain. The wind chill factor would have brought the temperature back to 5 or 6 degrees.

THE wash out and the Blues having the bye on Saturday, means the club has only one match left for the season. In fact, the Blues last four weeks of the 2016 season is a bit of a horror.
This is how the last four weeks of the season will unfold. July 23, due to play ANU Griffins in Canberra, grounds closed, match cancelled.
July 30 bye, August 6 play Ainslie at Hughes, August 13 bye. That is one match in four weeks.
Therefore, the Blues have just two training runs and one match left. The fact that we are not playing finals, which will be our earliest finish to the season in a decade.
