Ground closures have kept both Tricolours teams off the field for training this week but that hasn’t hindered their preparation for this weekend’s matches.

Both the men’s and women’s teams took part in a bike workout at Come Alive Fitness on Tuesday night.
Coach Mick Gay was positive about the indoor training session.
“This is our fourth time in the gym. It breaks up the season,” he said.
“They’ve been very good to accommodate us here.”
On Saturday the men take on Condobolin who sit last in the Grain Corp Cup standings.
Last time the teams were scheduled to play, Condobolin had to forfeit so the team is hopeful they’ll get a game this week.
That said, Gay isn’t complacent about the fixture.
“We wont take them lightly,” he stated.
Country Club Oval has been holding up quite well in the recent wet conditions but it is still likely to be damp and muddy on Saturday.
The team has been avoiding using the field and has trained on oval two where possible.
“The heavy conditions play into our hands. We have a strong, physical forward pack who are mobile too.” Gay said.
Cootamundra are the favorites heading into the clash and while Gay doesn’t want to underestimate the opposition he plans on giving some players a bit of a rest.
A full strength team will take the field for kick-off but if things are going the Tricolours’ way some players may get a bit of rest time in preparation for finals.
“The bench players will get a bit of a run,” Gay stated.
Looking to the rest of the season, the Tricolours play West Wyalong at home in the final game of the regular season the weekend after the Condobolin game.
It’s increasingly likely that the team will host a home elimination final so three home games in a row are on the cards.
How Country Club Oval will hold up with that much use after all this rain remains to be seen.
Condobolin doesn’t field a team in the women’s comeptition so the Tri-colourettes will be playing a friendly match against the old boys.
