The call was made by the Cootamundra Development Corporation (CDC), which hosts the event, to change venue on Thursday.
CDC Chairman John Stephens said nothing will change in terms of the stalls which will attend or the schedule of the day.
He encouraged all community members to turn out for a fun, social day celebrating the unique tradition of Wattle Time.
The fair also took place at Fisher Park last year due to wet weather with the venue working well for the community activity.
The vintage car display will go ahead as planned around the cycle track, with vehicles to depart in time for the street parade at 12noon.
As well as an array of market and food stalls and entertainment throughout the day, the Wattle Time Fair will feature children’s activities such as the largest slide in the Southern Hemisphere, pony rides and pirate ship.
The fair grounds will open at 9am with the day’s action wrapping up at 4pm; all community members invited.
