The first grade men and the women will be taking part but unfortunately reserve grade will miss out.
In their clash against Lake Albert the reserves lacked energy and did not play at their regular level. They suffered a 2-0 loss and finish the season in sixth, just four points outside of the top four.
First grade played out a tense, physical 1-1 draw with Lake Albert and finish the season in second place.
The two sides face off again next weekend in the major semi-final. Both sides will be strengthen by the return of players who were rested in the final week of the regular season.
The winner of the major semi progresses straight to the grand final. The loser will face the winner of the minor semi between Tolland and Wagga United in the preliminary final.
That match will be played at O’Connor Park so if the Strikers were to feature in it they would have home ground advantage.
The women had a chance to clinch the minor premiership but lost to Junee 5-0.
Much like first grade, they finish in second and play Junee again next weekend in the major semi.
The Madden Trophy minor semi sees Tolland play Henwood Park. The Strikers haven’t lost to either side this season and so are in good stead to make the grand final.
There’s lots of finals football to be played for the Strikers.
