In a statement released by Ms Hodgkinson last Friday, she said she believes the reason for this demotion was because she defied her party to vote against the greyhound racing ban.
“I must only assume that the reason for this is because I voted to support the thousands of jobs in regional New South Wales that surround this industry,” Ms Hodgkinson said.
She said she found out about the appointment of Ms Taylor via a media release.
In the same statement Ms Hodgkinson labelled the racing ban as “un-Australian, and ill-thought”.
She has been vocal in her opposition to the ban since it was announced by Premier Mike Baird earlier this year, citing the impact of such a ban on all regional communities, not just those in her state electorate of Cootamundra.
