The kids took part in a range of horseback activities and events, including baton relays, to celebrate the Olympic Games in Rio.
President of the Cootamundra branch of the association Trish Taylor said that the event was aimed at getting the children into the Olympic spirit.
“The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves,” Ms Taylor said. Just like the athletes in Rio, competitors were awarded medals after competing. Unlike Rio however, the children could later enjoy eating their medals as they were made of chocolate. The afternoon gave the children a chance to experience a taste of Rio right here at home.
