A regular on the Tin Shed Theatre stage in Arts Centre productions, Miss Jones loves all things dramatic and her infectious, bubbly personalty passes this passion onto her young charges honing their craft in regular classes and school holiday workshops.
Her students, aged five to 12, showcase their skills in an end-of-year performance open to the community.
Miss Jones said as her classes began filling, more and more people would ask her about costume sales or putting together costumes so opening the Costume Corner seemed a natural step.
It also allows her to access some of the latest characters and most popular costumes for her students’ dramatic antics.
At the Costume Corner, Miss Em has costumes for babies right up to adults and can also source what she does not have in stock.
She will be open each Friday and by appointment, with her shopfront adding another facet to the Arts Centre, lovingly restored by the community.
