Join playwright and raconteur Phil Spencer and banjo picking songstress Julia Johnson for a comedic journey through life, death and the afterlife via Sydney’s Alcatraz.
Having smashed it with audiences at the Sydney Theatre Company, Lorne Arts Festival and the Sydney Fringe Festival Hooting and Howling is hitting the road for a three week regional NSW tour including a performance at the Arts Centre in Cootamundra on Wednesday, October 26 from 7pm.
Hooting and Howling is a tale of one man’s induction into the realm of the supernatural and his desperate efforts to resist being an atheist ‘know it all’ as a group of eccentric hobbyists attempt to make contact with the unknown, armed with only torches and a packet of ginger snap biscuits.
Weaving a heartfelt and fright filled tale with a handful of new songs by the utterly magical Julia Johnson, Hooting and Howling is simple story telling at its best.
Adults entry is $25 or $15 for school students.
The production is 70 minutes and suitable for those aged 13 and above.
See Julia in action with Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens and expect something similar from Hooting and Howling.
