The 10 competing crops were judged on Monday, November 14 by Cootamundra agronomist Andrew Daly.
Mr Baldry will be judged in the Southern Division, if his point score of 238 is among the top five crops throughout the division.
Second place was won by Byrne Farmco, entered by Geoff Byrne of ‘Allawah’.
Their crop of Marombi was estimated to yield 8.4 tonnes to the hectare and was awarded 237 points.
Malcolm and Scott McLeod of ‘Thornleigh’ came in third with a crop of Condo variety earning 229 points and estimated to yield 8.1 tonnes to the hectare.
Mr Byrne also took out the ‘Seed Purity – Trueness to Type’ Award.
On behalf of the competition organisers, Ken Thorburn thanked Mr Daly for judging as well as Adama for their sponsorship arranged by Mick Sheahan of Coota Producers.
“We also thank the farmers for their interest and participation in the Wallendbeen competition,” Mr Thorburn said.
