A report was read from the international officer Ann who was absent from the meeting, about our new country of study Nepal, which is known as the Federal Independent Republic of Nepal.
The capital is Kathmandu with over one million people living in this vibrant city.
The national flag is very unique being the worlds only rectangular national flag. The crimson red denotes the national flower being the rhododendron and the white represents the royal house.
The cultural book from Wallendbeen is to be displayed at Temora.
Members had been involved with carriage driving, a visit to My Fair Lady, and Eve's daughter Lorraine had a crochet piece which was best in Cootamundra Show.
Sue, A&E officer, talked about fireweed, stating it will only grow in unplanted native grasses. It has a small yellow flower. Sue also spoke about the fox and a new disease in lupins which has been in WA since the 1990s.
Wallendbeen branch were very thrilled to receive two trophies at conference.
The first was for the president’s report and second one for the international report.
Best wishes were extended to Tina Billing, the incoming president of Hume Group.
Sue McDonald is the incoming A&E officer and Elizabeth Bassingthwaighte is the publicity officer.
A donation of $40 is to be sent to the Stockton Welfare Centre for Christmas, and a donation of $100 to go to Emma Baldry who will participate in a walk in Sorrento, money raised going to the Fred Hollows Foundation.
Two new families have been welcomed to Wallendbeen - Hayley and Lin Saddler and John and Flavia McGrath. A parcel was also given to the Douglas family on the birth of their daughter.
CWA of NSW have donated $50,000 from the disaster fund to the New Zealand earthquake victims. A guest speaker from the Nurses Association spoke at the Hume Group meeting on staffing in Residential Care, with the need for CWA to support and lobby for better performance in that area. "Get Engaged, Spread the word, Building Community Awareness."
CWA will also establish a relationship with the Australian "Stop Osteoporatic Secondary" and the prevention of osteoporosis.

THE Christmas street stall was discussed and will be held on Friday, December 9 at 9am outside Westpac Bank. All donations gratefully accepted.
The next meeting will be held in the Hall on Tuesday, December 13 at 2pm. All members are asked to bring something for afternoon tea.
