Mother Nature is expected to play her part with a top temperature of 25 degrees predicted.
Cootamundra Turf Club president Brad Shields said the track was rated this week coming up as a good three; a vast contrast to it literally being underwater just prior to the Cootamundra Cup’s original scheduled date on October 2.
The first race will be run at 1.23pm with the racecourse to open from 12noon.
The XXXX Gold Marquee will open at 12.30pm.
Mr Shields said he has been pleased by the response of racegoers to the marquee with tickets selling well.
People have also taken up the opportunity to host their own marquee at the races with seven additional sites this year, mostly for Christmas parties.
Due to the time of year and the warmer weather, the Turf Club will allow people to remain on course later than usual with Yass-based band ‘Bulls for Sale’ to entertain after the presentation of the last race until 8.30pm.
“We want people to stay on course and enjoy themselves after the last race rather than rushing back into town; it is supposed to be great weather,” Mr Shields said.
There will be a courtesy bus from the post office from 11.30am on Saturday with the same bus to return people to town.

Fashions on the Field this year will be conducted between races three and four and four and five with those entering encouraged to remember the black and cerise theme in memory of racehorse Octagonal.
Once again, the grandstand will be open with racegoers able to enjoy a seat and great vantage spot from the iconic construction.
When it comes to the action on the track, competition is set to be of a high standard.
