POLICE say a trailer has come loose from a heavy vehicle near Gundagai, blocking south-bound lanes of the Hume Highway.

Cootamundra Local Area Command duty officer, Inspector Frank Brown, said at this time it is not believed there has been a collision or injuries.
He said the incident happened about three kilometres south of Gundagai.
“Police are looking at (traffic) diversions now,” Inspector Brown said.
Some early reports indicated there was an incident involving two trucks.
Emergency services are arriving at the scene.
