A 4WD has entered the course blatantly tearing up the green.
Police are appealing for public assistance to bring the perpetrator/s to justice.
Country Club Board of Directors Chairman John O’Loughlin has been left disappointed by the extensive damage to the sixth green.
This is not the first time the Country Club has been targeted by vandals with $5000 worth of damage caused in January 2014 when rakes from the bunkers and the pins on course were used to punch holes in the 11th and the 16th holes.
This act of vandalism comes at a time when club members are putting their hand up to help the club remain viable into the future by offering their time and services, often free of charge.
If anyone has any knowledge of the incident please contact Cootamundra Police on 6942 0099 or Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
More to come.
