This Wednesday, February 15, Cootamundra Junior Touch will host a ‘come and try’ day at Nicholson Park for those youngsters thinking about giving the sport a go but not yet ready to commit to playing.

The season was scheduled to start this week, however with lower than necessary registration numbers the commencement has been pushed back and the committee is encouraging people to give the fun-filled sport a try.
“Some children are already registered however numbers are low in some age groups and we may not be able to run them,” committee member Tisha McTavish said.
“I am hoping a come and try day will help boost numbers,” she added.

The come and try game for years 1/2 and 3/4 will kick off at 4pm with years 5/6 and 7/8/9 to start at 4:30pm.
Registration is $25 per child.
Junior touch provides skills for life and plenty of fun for participants.
It is also great training for those who play football during the winter.
