Wife Penny is by his side and wanting to do more to help than offer their well wishes, many businesspeople and ordinary residents are going above and beyond to ease the financial stress of having both Penny and Jack away from work. 

Earlier this month, E’Claires Coffee Shop owner Claire Berkrey committed 100 per cent of the purchase price of all ice creams to the Raleigh family, raising an incredible $800. 

On Friday, March 10 a cake stall will be hosted outside E'Claires to raise further funds for the cause. 

All donations of cakes/slices are most welcome with anyone cooking able to drop off from 6.30am on the day. 

Meanwhile, last weekend the Albion Hotel raised $675 through fundraising raffles for the Raleigh family.

A big fundraising evening is planned for Saturday, February 25 at the Family Hotel between 1pm and 4pm.

$75 will purchase people beer, wine soft drink and a barbecue meal.

A number of items have been donated to be auctioned during the afternoon in what promises to be a fun afternoon for a terrific family. 

Next Wednesday, a sheep and lamb drive will be held at the Cootamundra Saleyards raising funds for the Raleigh family.

Initially donated lambs from producers Jack has worked for were going to be auctioned during the fundraiser at the Family, however with such huge support they will now go under the hammer at the regular sheep sale. 

There is expected to be between 20 and 30 sheep and lambs on offer.
