Tackling city grade for the first time, Zakynthos Regrets ($3.80) was beaten a length in the $60,000 TAB Highway Handicap (1100m) for Cootamundra trainer George Dimitropoulos and Wagga apprentice Stacey Metcalfe.
Zakynthos Regrets sat outside the leader, Fickle Folly ($11.00) but was unable to run her down.
The pair gapped the field, with a three-length margin to Kooringal Star ($3.90) in third place.
