A 32-year-old Cootamundra man was arrested today (Tuesday, March 7) over the theft of more than $250,000 from local company South West Fuel Centre Pty Ltd.

Detectives from Cootamundra Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the matter in October, 2016.
Following their investigations, police will allege the 32-year-old man stole in excess of $250,000 from his employer over a six-year period from January 2010 through until October 2016.
He has been charged with seven charges of ‘Steal property as clerk or servant’.
The man was granted provisional bail and will appear before Cootamundra Local Court on Monday, April 3.
He can-not be named until he appears in court.
His arrest marks a disturbing rise in the reporting of white collar crime in Cootamundra.
In an entirely separate case, former Agland Industries employee Anna Holder faced Cootamundra Local Court in February this year charged with 30 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and one count of destroy/conceal accounting record to obtain financial advantage.
She will re-appear in court on Monday, April 3.
Meanwhile, also in a February sitting of Cootamundra Local Court, former Cootamundra Westpac manager Joe Ciccia was sentenced to a minimum of six months jail over the defrauding of $92,700 from the bank.
