The windmill setting for parts of this weekend's Jugiong Writers' Festival

This weekend throws up a plethora of activities across the district. 

For those not going to the Stockinbingal Village Fair, the Jugiong Writers’ Festival includes a gourmet brunch under the windmill in the park at Jugiong, entertainment and artisan stalls this Sunday, March 19.

Saturday, March 18 will see a number of published authors converge on the village for a series of moderated talks.

Guest authors include Di Morrissey, Professor Bill Gammage,  Pip Courtney, Margareta Osborn, Sulari Gentill, Alice Campion and Tracey Holmes. 

Stan Grant will open the festival.

Winners of the poetry and short story competitions associated with the festival will be read out on Sunday. 

A successful Small Schools Day has already been held with more than 100 students involved.
