OUR term is rapidly coming to a close. U3A all over the world works on school terms because many grandparents look after their grandchildren during the school holidays as their parents work. We have just three weeks left, until we have a holiday also.

Mah Jong with Betti Punnett on Monday mornings is proving very popular and a good way to brush up on the skills learnt. The Stephen Ward Rooms at 9.45am is when the group begin.
Introduction to Ballroom and New Vogue Dancing with Val and Nigel Hughes is held at 1pm in Dickson Hall every Tuesday. Newcomers are welcome to stay to join in with the more experienced folk, but may just stay to watch and enjoy the music.
Our talks are always held in The Stephen Ward Rooms at 2.30pm.
Wednesday, March 22, Fiona Raleigh, who is the National Wool Classer Registrar, will tell us that: ”Wool is so much more than Grandma’s Jumper”
Come along to hear David Steinbeck tell us about “Day Trading”, and he is sure to tell us about the pitfalls as well as the upside of this activity. That will be on Wednesday, March 29.
Robyn McMellon will come on Wednesday, April 5 to start us on “Researching your Family Tree”. If people are interested she will then conduct a course next term.
Richard White wants us to Enjoy Poetry, the Every Day Nourishment for the Soul. 2.30pm on Friday, March 31.
The very last for the term will be a delightful film Love Me or Leave Me Friday, April 7 at 10am.
