THE Caltex golf weekend will be held this Saturday and Sunday.

The main event is a 36 hole aggregate stableford.

There are 36 hole trophies as well as 18 hole events on both Saturday and Sunday.

Please note that Saturday names must be put on the time sheet but on Sunday it will be a 10am shotgun start.

There will be nearest the pins on all par threes on both days.

There will not be a presentation on Saturday afternoon, only the ball comp will be presented with all winners to be presented trophies on Sunday afternoon.

Golfers are reminded that also on Saturday are 12 visiting golfers from the north coast who will be playing alongside 12 Coota golfers for the Coota Cup Challenge.

They will be teeing off between 11.30am and noon.

Ball rundown saw Des Rowe on 41, Roger Hart, Clarrie Power, Wayne Loiterton 39, John Doidge 37, Clayton Manwaring, Peter Annetts, Graeme Cheshire, Graham Rumble, Jeremy Annetts, Geoff Byrne, Nevillel Potter, Matt Perry, Brian O’Malley and Geoff Manwaring all on 36 points.

Nearest the pins saw Des Rowe on three, Wayne Loiterton on nine and Col Trickett on 16.

LAST week’s mid week competition winner was Phil Moon with 43 points with Geoff Byrne runner-up on 42 points with Graeme Cheshire finishing third with 37 points.

The above three won balls as did Ian Somers 36, Barry Duggan 35, James Smith 34 and Brad Shields on 32.
