The community has been left shocked and deeply saddened at the tragedy.
His parents, Jodie and Jeremy, are finding comfort in their faith, their family and their close friends at this time.
With the Coroner's report being prepared, Jeremy and Jodie are working with Police.
Over the coming weeks, they will move through the necessary preparations to farewell their son and would appreciate the privacy of their home and family being respected.
Jeremy and Jodie have released the following statement on their precious boy; quotes in italics are from the Bible.
“We are so very grateful for the kind and heart-felt support that has been shown to our family through the tragic loss of our little boy Wyatt.
The grief we are all experiencing is obviously very deep and the pain is so hard to bear.
Our little Wyatt, gifted to us from the Lord on 10th March, 2014, was our treasured boy who brought so much joy to our home with his mature, ‘little old man’, larger than life personality.
Wyatt grew up in the local community of Cootamundra and was known as a real character to the locals.
He melted the hearts of all he met with his overflowing character, affection and joyfulness.
Wyatt left this world to be with His Saviour (Jesus Christ) in Heaven, at 4pm yesterday due to a tragic accident.
His loss leaves an immense hole in the heart of his dad, Jeremy, his mum, Jodie, his two sisters Liliana and Charlotte and his big brother, Ethan.
Whilst our sorrow is immense and our loss deeper than we describe with words, we are so grateful to our precious Heavenly Father Who has given us many exceeding great and precious promises that have become even more dear to us and our extended family at this time.
We have learned by experience that the Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
The one true, living God, the almighty Creator and Sustainer is the only one of whom it can be truly said that He comforts us in all tribulation.
It is our desire that through Wyatt’s promotion to Heaven that many would come to understand the glorious Gospel of Christ – that good news that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scripture.
Because Christ now lives, Wyatt now lives as well all those who repent and put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We know that our days apart from our precious Wy Wy will be few for we sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
This is our sure, living and blessed hope as we look forward to the time in which God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
As Job of old said, who lost all seven of his children, The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
We appreciate the outpouring of support and the love we are receiving from friends, family and our local community.”
