An online fundraising page has been set up to at www.youcaring.com/wyattforjeremyandjodiesearle-783050 with $5,140 pledged as of Monday morning.
Wyatt lost his life in a tragic accident on Tuesday afternoon, when he was run over in the driveway of his Sutton Street home.
“His loss leaves an immense hole in the heart of his grieving family,” the fundraising page states.
“Jeremy and Jodie’s extended family and friends would like to raise enough money to cover the expenses during this tragic time in their lives so that they have one less thing to worry about.” it continues.
There has been an outpouring of support as individuals touched by the tragic accident donate what they can.
“My heart absolutely breaks for your loss. With my little one turning three recently, I can't begin to imagine your grief,” wrote one person.
A dad from Alice Springs wrote that he read the story and wept.
“I have a four-year-old son, and can't help but mourn with you,” he wrote.
Funds donated into a bank account established for the family last week have been added to this fundraising site.
All money collected on the site will go to the Searle family as the site does not collect a percentage of funds gained.
