A 27-year-old Cootamundra man is in a coma following a serious motorcycle crash on Berthong Road on Saturday afternoon.

The man was riding south near Forsyths Lane when he lost control of the bike and crashed.
Witnesses report the man was travelling at a very high speed when the accident occurred.
The rider suffered significant injuries to the head and body, and was conveyed to Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital in a critical condition.
He has since been taken to St George Hospital and as of this morning remains in a serious condition in a coma.
The accident occurred at about 1.45pm with no other vehicle/s involved.
Police are investigating the collision however speed is believed to be a factor.
