Great, that puts them in some rather illustrious company. Such people as Jesus Christ (overturning the money changers tables), Martin Luther, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King and of course so many, many others, but l am sure you get my drift.
The fact is we owe our democratic system to the troublemakers of the past.
Perhaps the members of the Gundagai Council in Exile should wear a badge or T-shirt with the word troublemaker emblazoned on it, in rather large letters and wear it proudly.
I wonder what label we should give those honourable (?) lying members within the present New South Wales Liberal National Party? Nothing admirable that's for sure.
It is hard to believe that our honourable (?) Premier has actually stated that we should not take any notice of what the government says, but sure enough we have witnessed her saying just that on the TV.
Well, honourable (?) Premier, we had already learnt that before you told us.
The Honourable (?) Ms Gladys Berejiklian on March 19, 2015 at The Dougherty Centre, Chatswood said: "And it's just that conversation we've started. There’ll be nothing people will be forced into.”
The Honourable (?) Ms Gabriel Upton (currently the Minister for Local Government on October 11, 2015 at Gilfoil Park Double Bay said: “I believe that local governments are local, that spells L O C A L, and I do believe that small can be effective.”
The Honourable (?) Mr Anthony Roberts, (Member for Lane Cove) on May 6, 2013, at Hunters Hill Town Hall said: “Look, can I put on record first and foremost is, there will be no forced amalgamations. That is our stated position. As the government we don't need to amalgamate councils.” Let us all loudly say God bless the troublemakers.

Cootamundra
Funds put to good use
Earlier this year, the Cootamundra Cycle Club was fortunate enough to receive a grant through the Stronger Communities funding program. Since the grant was received, the club committee and members have worked tirelessly, along with local contractors, to securely fence the mountain bike complex adjacent to the golf course.
Extensive earthworks are being done to further improve the existing track and enviro matting and stabilising grates are being laid to curb erosion to avoid future damage. Signage is being printed to adorn boundary fences and further works are being planned.
As a result, the town of Cootamundra will boast a top-class facility whee mountain bike events can be staged.
The sport itself is a growing one and we hope to promote events on a grand scale, which in turn will benefit the town as a whole. We envisage to hold a promotional opening day in September when the landscape will be in its absolute best, with spring showcasing the wild flowers and abundance of vegetation in a natural habitat.
We would like to thank the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council for considering our application for the grant and, once all stages are completed, the town will have another asset that cyclists, bush walkers, school groups and visitors to the area can appreciate.

Attack on funds
This is an attack by the Turnball government and a all at sea treasurer, who is starting to make Joe Hockey look like a genius. It will now push more self funded retirees onto the full aged pension as their returns at the present time are near zero from banks and the stock market.
The only people making money are overpaid directors, bankers and fund managers with their million dollar salaries and perks, usually hidden away in tax free havens.
