The time frame in Nepal is about five hours and 15 minutes behind Wallendbeen.
Sue, Agricultural officer, spoke about finger limes. They are native to Australia, but unfortunately have been nearly cleaned out. The fruit comes in a variety of colours, and is grown in SE Queensland. Ann had brought along some finger limes to see and also to taste.
Sue also talked to members about the lack of iodine in the diet, which is found in breads and sea foods. Nepalese diet lacks iodine, being away from the sea. A Dr in Nepal discovered the cause of cretins, was related to the lack of iodine, and today iodine is used in their diet.
