Police hail fatality-free Easter long weekend

Cootamundra police sergeant Jim Prentice has thanked the community after registering a fatality-free Easter long weekend.

More than 4200 breath tests were performed on commuters between April 13 and April 17 with “favourable ratios” of law-abiding drivers.

However, Sergeant Prentice raised concerns over the 13 unrestrained passenger infringements issued over the long weekend.
