The medal was reported missing at the conclusion of yesterday’s Commemorative Service, however it has yet to be recovered.
Representing the medal’s owner, Jacqui Vincent stated the medal would likely have been misplaced between Thompson Street and the Albert Park Cenotaph.
“The owner’s car was parked along Thompson Street, so the medal would have been lost somewhere between there and the Anzac memorial,” Mrs Vincent said.
A miniature medal with a blue and yellow ribbon was also recovered at the Stockinbingal Memorial and has been handed in to Mrs Vincent.
Anyone with any information regarding either medals should contact Jacqui Vincent immediately on 0429 693 095.
