On Sunday the pair headed to Wagga’s Apex Park along with more than 60 other Riverina residents for a family fun day, raising awareness against homophobia and transphobia.
Having recently joined Rainbow Riverina, Ms Bratton said the event was a chance to get involved.
“We’ve been gay for many years and Cootamundra doesn’t have anything like this,” she said.
“We came across the group on Facebook and wanted to be a part of it.”
Rocking rainbow bow ties in the spirit of the event, Ms Bratton said the day was about “equality” as well as a fun, social day out.
“Here it’s easy to be together and you can just relax and be yourself,” she said.
