WHILE autumn leaves may still be colouring streets and gardens, chrysanthemums are also being admired.
There will be quite a few gardens benefiting from the many colourful pots available to purchase at the recent flower show.
Thanks to Don for these.
While seasonal conditions resulted in fewer entries in some sections of the show, overall the show was a success.
The secretaries, Don Elliott and Majorie Smith, put in much effort to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Congratulations Don and Marj.
Many other garden club members worked tirelessly, so thank you to all these people and to Geoff Larsen for opening the show.
Congratulations to all prize winners and thank you to all people who put entries in the various categories.
Raffle winners were Robyn Leahy and Lila Collingridge.
At the April meeting Anne Pratt's nerine was the flower of the month and Fay McPherson won the raffle.

ARTS and Crafts Inc
SINCE the onset of cooler weather, some of the Tuesday and Thursday workshop people have been knitting. Not even cold weather can persuade the dedicated patchworkers and card makers to turn to wool.
At the May meeting our 50th anniversary was discussed. This occasion will not be celebrated until later in the year but former members may contact the centre so that they can be informed in this momentous occasion.
The cooler weather has also brought in people looking for warm items.
A couple of these people were visiting from Scotland and before very long, some Cootamundra-made articles will be in that country.
The Coota Arts and Crafts Centre in located in the Railway Complex, Hovell Street. Contact 6942 2895.
