Dog trainer Robyn Fowkes and her Hungarian vizla Vision have been placing these markers at regular intervals around the area in preparation for an upcoming dog tracking tournament.
Vision is a tracking champion competes at Track and Search level, the highest tier a recreational tracking sport based around the acute canine sense of smell.
“In competition, she has to rely on scent alone, so these pink markers are a really important training tool for Vision,” Mrs Fowkes said.
“I laid a track of eight markers around Captain’s Walk recently but when I came back 40 minutes later, three were missing.
“So if you see those little markers, we’d appreciate it if you left them where they are.”
