Motorists were stuck at the level crossing from roughly between 9am and 10am before an ARTC team arrived at the scene.
An ARTC spokesperson said the team had been dispatched to acquire new parts and equipment and would return to the crossing as soon as possible.
“An ARTC team has been to the scene and is returning to acquire parts and equipment,” the spokesperson said.
“Once these parts have been acquired, the team will return shortly to address the situation.”
The spokesperson could not confirm whether further delays were to be expected.
