A diesel leak from an unidentified vehicle has resulted in the closure of part of Cootamundra’s main streets.

According to emergency services, the leak is significant and has been distributed across Parker, Bourke, Wallendoon and Hovell Streets.
It appears the leak has been present for between 30-45 minutes.
Cootamundra Fire Station captain Les Carr said diesel leakage has also been identified around the Woolworths car park and more leakage around Cootamundra is likely.
Emergency services are currently distributing sawdust to combat the leakage and are redirecting traffic accordingly.
Drivers in the area are advised to check their vehicles for any leaks.
