As well as a jumping castle and brand-new sandpit for the kids, the club is hoping to have new play equipment installed in time.
They have also invited Cootamundra junior soccer players in the 5, 6, and 7 age divisions to play a small sided game at half-time during the reserve and first grade games.
Strikers president James Philpot said the club prided itself on having a family-friendly atmosphere.
“A lot of the players and committee members have small kids so we want somewhere safe for them to run around on game day,” Philpot said.
The play equipment, which was previously at a local childcare centre, will be placed on the far side of the canteen keeping kids away from the carpark area.
The Strikers committee is hopeful that involving the town’s up-and-coming junior players on family day will increase the connection between the junior and senior clubs.
“We want to ensure we are creating that link between the junior and senior soccer clubs; by allowing the kids to have a run on O’Connor Park, they can feel like the big boys and girls,” Philpot said.
The club will host their sponsors’ day in conjunction with the family day as an opportunity to show what the club has to offer on and off the field.
The on-field action is likely to be lively with the first and reserve grade men taking on Tumut and the women to play Tolland.

That evening, the Strikers will organise and host the raffle at the Ex-Services Club, which is a major sponsor of the soccer club.
This opportunity will allow them to add extra funds into their kitty to go back to the running of the club.
