A grant received by the Cootamundra Junior Rugby League will allow the club to upgrade the canteen facilities at Nicholson Park.

The improvements and renovations will include new kitchen cupboards and benchtops. The food preparation areas will have a stainless steel finishes, the floor area will tiled, new fridges purchased and the barbecue area enlarged.
The Stronger Communities Fund will contribute $32,000 to the estimated $39,000 cost.
Club president Luke Dabin said the canteen was a vital community asset.
“The Stronger Communities Fund grant will provide benefits to a large number of community members. Allowing each group that utilise the canteen to continue to generate income and provide additional resources to the children within each club,” Mr Dabin said.
Council administrator Stephen Sykes said club canteens provided vital income for them to continue to improve their facilities.
