Alan won the first four ends and was growing in confidence with every end, but Roman kept his eye on Alan and never let him get too far ahead.
Atfter 14 ends, Alan retained the lead at 10-8 and slowly extended it to 19-11 after 20 ends and was traveling nicely.
Alan moved to 27-16 lead and looked in control but Roman decided he had better get back into the game and mounted a concerted challenge.
Unfortunately Alan never scored another shot and Roman went on to win the final 31- 27 and claim the back-to-back singles titles.
A reliable source informed me that there is only one other player, Graeme Dennis, who has recorded this feat. Well done.
A bus load of 26 bowlers from Western Creek paid us a visit on Sunday. The day was a casual affair with fun the main aim and both clubs mixing their bowler to make 14 teams of fours. It was a great sight to see the green full of bowlers having a great time.
