The poem ‘Dinner with Family’ can be found on the Jugiong Writers’ Festival webpage together with other winning poems from the festival.
The festival saw literary minds from across the state and ACT combine and involved multiple facets including a dedicated small schools program giving young people access to published authors, a big day of author talks, a market day and brunch and of course the writing and poetry competitions.
The next Writers’ Festival is sure to be just as diverse as organisers make it a regular event in the village.
In the meantime, the attention of Jugiong is firmly focussed on its seventh biennial art exhibition and sale at the Jugiong Memorial Hall over the weekend of November 18 and 19 this year.
The exhibition is a fundraising event for the ongoing maintenance and repairs to the historic Jugiong Catholic Church.
