The club fours are this weekend starting on Saturday at 1pm, with the winners playing the semi final and final on Sunday.
Wednesday social bowls had three pairs games with the best being between Rocky and P O’Brien who had a very narrow 16-14 win over P Richardson and A Small.
Rink five saw R Goode and G Snape struggle against S Stanton and R Hillier in their 13-22 loss.
O Lopez and The Duck were too strong for Pumpkin and K Hampton recording a 24-13 win.
Friday saw 16 bowler on the green, with the closest game being between B Cosgrove, M Andrews and Pickles with their opposition being S Leggett, Froggy and T McDonald.
After the regulation 21 ends the score was tied at 20-all and an extra end was called for.
Steve, Froggy and Terry recorded one shot on the extra end to get the meat trays.
P Cockram and R Goode shot to handy 19-3 lead after 14 ends against J Huntington and T Cosgrove and looked set for victory but John and Terry mounted scoring 12 shots in 6 ends to just fall short 15-23.
O Lopez, R Hillier and J White combined to win their game against Ginger, A Small and B New 20-13.
WOMEN’S
WEDNESDAY morning there were 11 ladies on the green.
Two semi-finals of major singles were played between Marilyn Allen and Wendy Deacon on rink four with Lynn Fisher marking and measuring.
Wendy got out early but Marilyn played well and on the 22nd end there was only three points between them, but Wendy got up to win, well done.
On rink five Lorraine Evelyn and Bev Black with Robyn Snape marking, had a good game with Bev having the win.
Bev now goes on to play Wendy in the finals.
Good luck to both ladies.
Five social players enjoyed a triples with Sara swinging lead for Shirley and Joan versus Margaret C and Carolyn, with Joan's team having the win.
Saturday, nine ladies came to play.
We had a game of triples with Lorraine playing a swinging lead for Margaret C and Lynn against Freda and Carolyn with Carolyn's team winning.
On the adjacent rink a pairs game with Shirley and Sara playing Emily and Joan.
