Cootamundra’s annual Netball Gala Day was in full swing last weekend as teams from across the region flocked to Nicholson Park for a day of high-spirited netball and outdoor enjoyment.

Event coordinator Corinna Campbell said it was one of the smaller Gala Days on record but nothing could take away from a enjoyable Sunday outing for all.
“We had 11 teams in total coming from West Wyalong, Yass, Turvey Park, Gundagai and of course Cootamundra,” Mrs Campbell said.
“We managed to coordinate a fun day for all and our aspiring netballers played six games in total.”
Mrs Campbel said watching the girls’ ongoing development and improvement through Tuesday afternoon sessions and junior programs was a definite highlight.
Cootamundra’s next-gen netballers will be back again next weekend for the annual west Wyalong Gala Day on July 30.
