Soccer stalwarts Tracie Cudmore and Brenton Forsyth will celebrate their 100th and 150th games respectively when their sides take on Henwood Park and Wagga United at home.
It caps an auspicious affair for the proud Strikers club with women’s coach Mick Simons making special mention of Cudmore’s incredible dedication to nurturing the beautiful game in Cootamundra.
“Tracie is a very dedicated trainer and player who has always put her heart and soul into playing football and has moved work shifts throughout the year just to be available to play for the club,” Simons said.
Cudmore is one of the few remaining members of from the inaugural Strikers womens' team which came into being in 1995 and has been an invaluable source of wisdom for younger players since returning to the side last season from an extended hiatus.
Simons said the former sweeper and fierce competitor has reigned in her style since 2016 but remains one of the side’s key players.
Meanwhile, star forward Forsyth will be out to make a statement in his 150th appearance when his side clashes with Pascoe Cup surprise packets Wagga United.
Forsyth has featured in 12 games this season and currently sits equal second on the leading goal-scorers ladder alongside player-coach Brent Farnsworth (6), three goals adrift from the in-form Aaron Kemp (9).
