Police were called to the Cootamundra Hotel at 1.30am, August 6, after reports of a brawl emerged.
Cootamundra LAC commander Matt Packham said party-goers were celebrating a birthday when a number of patrons grabbed a 20-year-old man, resulting in a fight that moved throughout the hotel.
The man was then further escorted up Parker Street by two men who encouraged him to leave before being further assaulted.
When police arrived to question the man who'd been removed from the pub, he claimed he'd been “picked on” because he was from Tumut.
No arrests were made.
