Both persons were identified by police and questioned over the weekend with Cootamundra LAC commander Matt Packham confident the other two perpetrators would be found in the near future.
“The 16-year-old and 14-year-old were interviewed by police on the 18th and 20th respectively and we anticipate two further culprits will be identified,” he said.
Commander Packham revealed the former was already under police investigation over his alleged involvement in a bicycle theft from a John Street property last week.
“A stolen bike belonging to a 10-year old boy was reported to police on Thursday, August 17,” he said.
“After further investigation, officers retrieved the bicycle from the aforementioned 16-year-old.”
