Five years later in 1969, Robyn Kirley was announced as the second ever Miss Wattle, from then on Miss Wattle became an annual tradition, which remains today.
Since the Miss Wattle tradition first began there have also been three sets of twins who have jointly shared the title.
The twins include Nerida and Raelene Gibbs who were crowned in 1986, Kathy and Jamie Naden (1993) and Belinda and Skye Jarrett (1996).
