The Annual Branch Meeting of Can Assist Cootamundra was held following the regular monthly meeting on August 21.
President Bev Withers, in her annual report, thanked our kind community for its unstinting generosity of support and donations, as well as the many volunteers who give endlessly.
We supported a number of others’ events with catering, as well as holding some of our own.
The evening of Fun with the Phat Boyz, including an auction, was a highlight.
Brunch at the Saleyards continues to be a mainstay fundraiser for the group as well as other catering tasks such as at the Mind, Body and Soul two-day gathering at the Town Hall and the provision of lunch for Meals on Wheels volunteers in the Dickson Hall.
Members attending the meeting elected new Office Bearers for the coming year. The new Committee includes:

- Vice president: Marg Somers
- Secretary: Gloria Harris
- Assistant Secretary: Cathy Manwaring
- Treasurer: Colleen Flynn
- Catering: Robyn Harris,
- Saleyards Catering: Mavis Bracken
- WHS Officer: Glennys Randall.

Equipped with everything necessary to cook up a barbecue or facilitate the preparation of food, the trailer, attendants and operators, can be hired to assist with your own family or group event involving a barbecue.
Bookings can be made on 0490 865 896 in October if you need help with an outdoor function, especially one involving a barbecue.
