Train toker issued court attendance notice after being caught smoking cannabis on XPT service between Cootamundra and Junee

A 28-year-old man will face court after being caught smoking cannabis aboard the XPT service between Cootamundra and Junee.

The man, a South Australian, was apprehended by train staff at 1:35am Saturday, September 9, on the Sydney-bound service and was searched by police at Cootamundra station.

Upon inspection, Cootamundra LAC officers allegedly found a small quantity of cannabis on the man’s person

The man has been issued with a court attendance notice and will front Cootamundra Local Court on Friday, October 6.
