Principal Toni Daly congratulated the kids on beating much larger schools in the central school ensemble and juvenile choir categories, as well as two other commendations.
“We’re very proud of them,” she said.
“They did exceptionally well against the bigger schools, the practice and enthusiasm the children put into the choir is a real credit to them.
“The kids love it and they were so well-disciplined and looked very professional, I thought they might be a bit out of their league but they stepped up.”
Ms Daly also gave a special nod of thanks to the parents who drove the kids to the competition at Joyes Hall, as well as music teacher Karen West and choir master Margaret Edwards.
“They really did us proud, all credit to them,” Ms Daly said.
