Numbers were low but we enjoyed a wonderful day with a guest, Lucia Jacques. Our theme for this month was Flowers in Bloom with the decorations depicting this, and the Viewpoint asked the ladies to discuss their favourite flowers.
Guest speaker was one of our own members, Marjorie Smith, who told us of her visit to Melbourne to attend a Van Gogh showing and we learned the history of his life. Audrey Taber extended a vote of thanks to Marj.
The spring raffle was drawn by our Mrs Jacques with the winning ticket to F Cunningham. The funds raised are for the sponsorship of our three Learning for Life Students. They are children from disadvantaged backgrounds who need a little extra support so they can have a great education which every child has the right to.
National Convention is September 16 and 17 in Tamworth. There will be numerous guest speakers, a gala dinner and themed events for VIEW members to take part in.
October 5 we have a floral theme and our guest speakers will be four little school children reading us a story they have written themselves.
