Artists were asked to use recycled materials and the theme of ‘sustainable living’ with judges choosing 79 works from 160 entries for exhibition from artists as young as 11.
SWAP curator, Ben Eadie, said he was stunned by the quality and diversity of the works.
“Each piece showed a creative, imaginative understanding of the sustainable living theme,” Mr Eadie said.
City of Ryde mayor Bill Pickering said the competition was designed to encourage people to think about how they consume, recycle and reuse.
