This year’s school holidays incorporates the October long weekend (Saturday, September 30-Monday, October 22).
Again there is a range of activities on offer in and around Cootamundra to keep kids entertained.
Cootamundra Library
Celebrate Dork Day with a free goodie bag and morning tea on Tuesday, September 26 between 11am and 12noon. Based on the books by Rachel Russell, the activity is free for ages eight to 14.
Pamper and adorn your hands with Nail Art on Wednesday, September 27 from 10.30am until 11.30am. $5 per person, the class is for ages eight and up. Mums and grandmas welcome. (Four places left as of Monday morning)
Silly Sand craft activity on Friday, September 29 from 10.30am until 11.30am. Cost is $5 per child for ages five to 12. (Now booked out)
Percussion and drumming workshop on Thursday, October 5 between 11am and 12noon. Cost is $10 per child with the activity for ages six to 14.
Archery
A Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council activity. Coming to Clarke Oval, Cootamundra on Thursday, October 5. Running time from 9.30am until 11.30am. Ages eight to 18. Free.
Zac Brazenas dance workshop
With Cootamundra dance school Dance 2590. On break from his regular gig as a back-up dancer for Britney Spears in Las Vegas, Brazenas will conduct a series of workshops on Saturday, September 23 at the dance studio (55 Cooper Street).
Junior: 12noon until 1pm ($40 per student)
Intermediate: 1:15pm until 3:30pm ($65 per student)
Senior: 2:45pm until 5:45pm ($75 per student)

Junior tennis
School holiday coaching camp from Monday, September 25 until Thursday, September 28.

Junior soccer
South West Slopes Soccer Association is hosting a coaching clinic on Tuesday, October 3 and Wednesday, October 4.
Location: Mitchell Park, Cootamundra
Five to eight year olds from 9am until 10am, cost is $15 for one day or $20 for two days.
Nine to 14 year olds from 10.30am until 2.30pm, cost is $50 for one day or $80 for two days.

Kite making
An art workshop where participants take home a complete ready-to-fly lite along with some creative artwork.
