The telecommunications chaos started last Friday and took Telstra workers until about 10am on Monday to get services back up and running.
Greg Medway from the Australia Agriculture Academy was furious with what he called an “uncaring attitude” from Telstra employees when he reported the problem.
“It’s just not good enough.” Mr Medway said. “If we were in Sydney, the problem would have been fixed in an hour.”
Telstra area manager Chris Taylor apologised for the outage, which was caused by a hardware failure.
“We thank our customers for their patience,” Mr Taylor said. “Our staff live and work across regional and rural Australia and we aim to provide the best possible service no matter where you live. Customers are welcome to contact Telstra on 132 200 to discuss their individual situations.”
